WRS is a medical device company headquartered in Ann Arbor, MI. We offer world-class post-operative pain management solutions for orthopedic patients. We focus on programs that accelerate recovery and provide ancillary opportunities for orthopedic practices. We do all of this while combating the Opioid Epidemic head-on. We are located in Ann Arbor, MI, and we are looking for a full-time Senior Software Engineer.

What You’ll Do

·      Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack systems that support patient care, clinical workflows, and internal operations.

·      Take ownership of complex features and systems from concept through production, including architecture, implementation,                 testing, and ongoing improvement.

·      Collaborate closely with operations and sales stakeholders to translate real-world needs into reliable solutions.

·      Improve system performance, reliability, and observability across our platforms.

·      Contribute to technical direction, architecture decisions, and long-term platform evolution.

·      Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and uphold high engineering standards through reviews and mentorship.

·      Debug production issues and implement durable fixes.

·      Help improve developer workflows, tooling, and processes to increase velocity and quality.

What You’ll Bring

·      10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of delivering production systems.

·      Strong experience building and maintaining backend systems, APIs, and data-driven applications (full-stack experience is a         must).

·      Comfort working with modern cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.

·      A systems-thinking mindset: you consider performance, reliability, security, and long-term maintainability.

·      Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and drive work to completion.

·      Experience collaborating with non-technical stakeholders and translating ambiguous requirements into clear technical solutions.

·      Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·      A team-first attitude with a willingness to mentor, learn, and continuously improve.
