System Engineer Level 3


Position Summary
DarkStar Intelligence is seeking a System Engineer Level 3 who will analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities. Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies. Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations. Develops technical documentation. Develops system Architecture and system design documentation. Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288.
    • Technical Process Area - Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal.
    • Project Process Area - Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.
    • Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area -Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.
    • Agreement Process Area - Acquisition and Supply.
  • Assist in developing a new or innovative approach to a technical or engineering issue.
  • Assist in conducting an evaluation to determine its suitability for project implementation.
  • Supervise or coordinate the work of other contractor engineers or technicians on a project.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • High School diploma with twenty-five (25) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with twenty (20) years of experience. Education must be in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with VMware architecture, Installation and configuration.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with facilitating failover with VMotion.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with implementing rollback capability.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with VMware template library.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with Central Remote Management capability.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with configuration Management.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with leveraging VMware’s monitoring capability.

Salary Range $150,000 - $250,000 per year This pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of specific compensation or salary.
