About The Role
Reporting to a Director of Construction, the Superintendent will lead the daily on-site activities on construction jobsites. The objective is to provide oversight, optimize schedules, promote safety, and solve issues.
Job-Type: Full-time
Hours: Monday-Friday 7 AM- 4 PM, potential for variation with weekend or night work.
Primary Responsibilities
Coordination and Direction of Onsite Subcontractors
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Direct and manage onsite subcontractors to ensure they adhere to project documents, project schedule, and quality standards
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Monitor subcontractor coordination and resolve any issues that arise.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Coordinate and communicate onsite activities with internal construction team and owner to minimize interruptions to normal operation of nearby businesses.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Set and enforce project logistics plans to maintain a clean and efficient jobsite.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist in the preparation of project reports and documentation.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Advise of potential RFI鈥檚 and include a proposed solution for the project manager to formally submit.
Project Schedule Management
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules from pre-construction phase through project completion.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Create and manage short-term look-ahead schedules to anticipate and address potential upcoming project challenges.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Collaborate with subcontractors to create clear expectations and identify roadblocks in achieving task completion.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Communicate with TPC project managers and/or directors to ensure schedule is being properly communicated to the project management team of subcontractors.
Safety Promotion
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Create and enforce safety plans for all projects that are in accordance with all applicable state, federal, and OSHA standards.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections onsite.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Pre-Construction Assistance
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Attend and conduct site walks with subcontractors for potential projects when necessary.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Identify potential project issues and communicate with project manager to assist in budgeting.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist in Capital Project planning at Thomas Park owned assets.
About You
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 5+ years experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to manage multiple jobsites and coordinate various trades simultaneously
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong knowledge of construction processes, means and methods.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Effective Communication and leadership abilities
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Familiarity with聽 Microsoft Office softwares, Bluebeam Revu, Procore, or other web-based project management solutions.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to travel between jobsites as needed.
Location
Our headquarters is located in Annapolis, MD but this role will focus on project locations within 60 miles of our headquarters.
