Live-In Caregiver – One You Love Homecare

Location: Arnold, Maryland
Start Date: July 1, 2026
Client: 81-year-old male with dementia
Schedule: Live-in position

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable live-in caregiver to provide personalized care and companionship for an 81-year-old male client with dementia. The caregiver may be male or female. This role involves providing emotional support, personal care, supervision, and assistance with daily living activities in a family home.

Responsibilities:

Provide companionship and supervision
Assist with personal care, including showering and hygiene
Help with transfers and mobility
Remind and assist with medications
Provide transportation or accompany the client to appointments
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment
Ensure the client’s comfort, safety, and overall well-being

Home Environment:
The client lives with his daughter in a pet-friendly home. Applicants must be comfortable with animals, as the household includes:

Two large dogs
Outdoor cat
Chickens
Goats

Qualifications:

Experience with dementia care preferred
Patient, reliable, and compassionate
Comfortable providing personal care and companionship
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
Able to transport the client to appointments
Able to maintain a clean and organized living space
Prior experience in caregiving or home care is a plus
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
Ability to assist clients with mobility and physical transfers
Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
