Position Overview

Wayne Shoemaker State Farm Agency is seeking a motivated, energetic, and results-oriented Telemarketer to help support agency growth through outbound customer and prospect engagement.
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable starting conversations, building rapport quickly, following up consistently, and identifying opportunities for the agency to assist customers with their insurance and financial-services needs.
The Telemarketer will work closely with the agency sales team to generate interest, develop qualified opportunities, schedule follow-up conversations, and contribute to overall agency production and growth goals.

Responsibilities

Make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers.
Generate and qualify new business opportunities for the agency.
Follow up with leads and prospects consistently.
Schedule appointments and follow-up conversations for licensed agency team members.
Contact existing customers regarding potential account-review and cross-selling opportunities.
Help identify opportunities involving Auto, Home, Life, Health, and other eligible insurance products.
Maintain accurate records of calls, conversations, follow-up dates, and prospect activity.
Use agency systems and established processes to document customer and prospect interactions.
Provide professional, friendly, and customer-focused communication.
Assist with agency campaigns, prospecting initiatives, and customer-retention efforts.
Meet established outbound activity, appointment, production, and follow-up expectations.
Participate in agency meetings, training, coaching, and professional-development activities.
Work collaboratively with sales and service team members to help accomplish agency growth goals.
Follow all agency procedures and applicable compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Confident and professional on the telephone.
Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls and following up with prospects.
Sales-minded, goal-oriented, and motivated by measurable results.
Customer-focused and capable of building relationships through conversation.
Organized and dependable with strong follow-through.
Able to manage multiple leads and follow-up activities simultaneously.
Comfortable working toward individual and agency production goals.
Proactive and willing to take initiative.
Coachable and interested in continued professional development.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Experienced in a professional work environment; three or more years of professional work experience is preferred.

Licensing

Candidates who will perform activities requiring insurance licensing must hold the appropriate Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses or be willing to obtain all required licenses within 60 days, as applicable to the position.
