About Us:

Strides Therapy & Educational Services a reputable and client-centered pediatric multidisciplinary practice with two locations within Anne Arundel County in Maryland. Our team consists of Speech Language Pathologists, Speech Language Pathology Assistants, Occupational Therapists and Special Education Teachers. We emphasize using evidence-based, personalized care. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team and contribute to the well-being and communication development of our clients.

Position Overview:

As a Speech Language Pathologist in our private practice, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapeutic interventions to children with speech-language and/or feeding/swallowing disorders. Our ideal candidate is a passionate and knowledgeable team member who is looking to grow their clinical skills in a supportive and welcoming atmosphere. We believe in collaboration and work life balance. Feeding, Bilingual (English/Spanish), and/or AAC experience preferred but not required.

The candidate must be available to work after school hours. A typical week's schedule will include working 3 days from 10 to 7, and two days from 8 to 5 with one of the earlier days on Friday. Every day includes an hour lunch break.

  • Day to day tasks: complete formal and evaluations, develop plans of care, plan and conduct therapy, complete progress reports, complete discharge summaries, educate family and caregivers, communicate with families and team members as needed, collaborate with our/client's multidisciplinary team, cleaning/sanitizing of used materials, keeping workspace tidy
  • Soft skills: strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented, organized, self starter, compassionate, creative, confident

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Maryland state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) unless a Clinical Fellow.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in private practice or outpatient settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance billing and documentation practices is a plus.
  • Dedication to providing culturally competent and client-centered care.
