Primary Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the SCM team to ensure both customer and internal metrics are maintained at acceptable levels and a proper continuous improvement plan with defined actions, responsibilities and delivery dates that are clearly understood by the team

2. Manage the plants SCM continuous improvement plan

3. Ensure the safe operation of the plant’s material handling equipment in accordance with published plant and corporate guidelines

4. Develop a team that has mastered the use of the IAC ERP system, “lean manufacturing” tools, customer systems and IAC Supply Chain Management processes to support the requirements of both our internal and external customers.

5. Implement the IAC SCM BASIACs; understand the gaps and implement a continuous improvement plan with defined actions, responsibilities and delivery dates that are clearly understood by the team

6. Manage the ECN process as it pertains to the continuous flow of materials both inbound and outbound

7. Ensure the plant understands, utilizes and achieves it logistics plan

8. Manage the plants inventory, ensuring policy and procedures are implemented to achieve accuracy and turn objectives

9. Manage the physical inventory process to ensure accuracy and alignment with corporate policy

10. Manage continuous improvement actions to achieve 98% + inventory accuracy

11. Manage the SCM team to ensure 100% on time delivery to the customer and develop continuous improvement actions for all issues preventing achievement of the objective

12. Manage the supply base and SCM team to ensure 100% OTD for purchased goods and ensure continuous improvement actions are developed for any issue preventing achievement of the objective

13. Manage the team to ensure all customer requirements, metrics and systems are utilized to acceptable levels

14. Ensure that the plant has a proper escalation process with increasing levels of communication, both internal and external, ensuring that both internal leadership and the external customer are aware of any potential delays to shipment prior to their occurrence

15. Participate with the plant management team to achieve targets, goals and objectives

16. All other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience Requirements

Minimum 5 years automotive Tier 1 materials management experience

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management or related field preferred

Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with all levels across the organization

Strong analytical background with demonstrated ability to analyze, explain, and draw logical conclusions from complex operational, financial, regulatory and/or business data

Continuous Improvement / Kaizen / Lean facilitator

Knowledge of automotive customer systems and requirements (DDL, SNC, SMART, Supply Power, ANTS)

APICS certification a plus

Inventory management toolbox – reduction & accuracy improvement

MS Office tools fluency
