Job DetailsJob Location: Ansonia , CT 06401Salary Range: $22.48 - $23.18 HourlyFull Job Description A TEAM Family Support Specialist builds meaningful relationships with families, including connecting them to resources, supporting them through challenges and assisting them to see and reach their full potential. FSS work with a fully integrated support team including educators, behavioral health staff, disability specialists, and health coordinators, all working together to best support vulnerable children and families.   What You’ll Do Build trusting, strengths-based relationships with families Develop individualized family partnership agreements and provide consistent, compassionate case management Connect families to community resources, healthcare providers, and social services that meet their unique needs Support families in crisis with a calm, resourceful, and non-judgmental presence Plan and participate actively in family events, parent committee meetings, and community outreach activities Maintain accurate documentation and case records in compliance with program requirements Work with families to value and understand the benefits of full family engagement and a 2-generational approach within an education setting   ​​​​​​​Why TEAM Supportive, team-oriented work culture Beautiful, state-of-the-art Early Childhood Center focused on safety and innovation Competitive pay Structured step progression after 90 days 15 days of paid vacation and 2 days personal days 8 sick days and 14 paid holidays Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life insurance 403(b) with 6% company match Paid professional development including Family Development Credential   Opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills in a comprehensive program setting     QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION:  Associate’s degree in Social Work or related field, Bachelor’s degree preferred   EXPERIENCE:  1+ year in social services   SPECIAL SKILLS:  Strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, computer skills   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:   Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid, the ability to see and read newsprint with or without corrective lenses, to speak and be understood under normal circumstances.  Must be able to drive including getting into and out of vehicle frequently and sitting for brief periods of time, ability to climb stairs, bend and lift and reach.   PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:  Ability to function within guidelines of Agency’s core values and identification with Agency mission.
