Position Overview

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct behavioral intervention services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

This role focuses on implementing individualized treatment plans, teaching new skills, reducing challenging behaviors, collecting accurate behavioral data, and supporting caregivers throughout the intervention process.

As an RBT, you play an essential role in helping children reach meaningful goals while contributing to high-quality, compassionate care.

What You'll Do

Direct Client Care

  • Deliver one-on-one ABA therapy according to individualized treatment plans.

  • Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs.

  • Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies during therapy sessions.

  • Collect accurate behavioral data using electronic data collection systems.

  • Maintain a safe, engaging, and positive therapeutic environment.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with supervising BCBAs.

  • Participate in clinical meetings, supervision, and training sessions.

  • Communicate client progress, observations, and concerns.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.

  • Maintain professional and respectful relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.

Caregiver Partnership

  • Model intervention strategies during therapy sessions.

  • Encourage caregiver participation as directed by the supervising BCBA.

  • Reinforce treatment goals through caregiver collaboration.

  • Support the generalization of skills across home and community settings.

Professional Growth

  • Participate in Beyou's onboarding and professional development programs.

  • Complete required supervision and competency assessments.

  • Continue strengthening clinical and interpersonal skills.

  • Maintain RBT certification and comply with BACB ethical standards.

  • Prepare for future opportunities in clinical leadership, training, and advanced certification.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in good standing.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).

  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.

  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to collect accurate behavioral data and complete documentation.

  • Comfortable using technology for scheduling, communication, and data collection.

  • Ability to work independently while following clinical direction.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

  • Experience providing home-based or clinic-based ABA services.

  • Experience with caregiver coaching and collaboration.

  • Bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese, or another language.

  • Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) or ABA software platforms.

  • Interest in pursuing higher education or BCBA certification.
