This role is primarily a technical design and production position focused on creating accurate, build-able signage drawings for both interior and exterior applications. While there is a creative component, the majority of the work involves translating established brand standards, client requirements, and regulatory constraints into precise, production-ready designs.

You will work at the intersection of design, engineering, and fabrication, ensuring that all concepts are not only visually aligned but also structurally sound, code-compliant, and executable in the real world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed 2D signage layouts, and production-ready files using CorelDRAW and other design tools
  • Translate client brand guidelines, interior/exterior finishes, and specifications into accurate, build-able sign designs
  • Ensure all designs meet ADA requirements, local codes, and project-specific compliance standards
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and production teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy
  • Based on feedback, site conditions and project changes update design layouts, sign location maps & our custom database to ensure each sign system is developed accurately.
  • Maintain consistent drawing standards, templates, and file organization practices
  • Develop & reconcile large quantity projects using our custom database system
  • Support material selection and ensure designs align with fabrication methods and installation requirements
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • Produce work efficiently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

What This Role is (and isn’t)

This is not a traditional graphic design role. Approximately 90% of the work is technical and execution focused. Creativity plays a role, but designs are often constrained by client standards, compliance requirements, and real-world conditions.

Success in this role comes from precision, speed, problem-solving, and the ability to design signage that can be fabricated and installed without issue.
