JOB SUMMARY:
The Licensed Practicing Nurse provides recovery focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment (including medications) as prescribed by the physician. Provides safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.

1.聽聽 DUTIES
路聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrates the Avery鈥檚 House mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and contact with clients.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Establishes and maintains a therapeutic relationship with clients
路聽聽聽聽聽 Provides nursing care and assists in the welcoming, admission, and discharge process
路聽聽聽聽聽 Collects data relevant to client鈥檚 care; develops and implements nursing care plans
路聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrates knowledge of crisis management and intervention
路聽聽聽聽聽 Transcribes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner
路聽聽聽聽聽 Administers medication management policies and procedures
路聽聽聽聽聽 Notifies the prescriber and nursing supervisor of any changes in behavior or condition
路聽聽聽聽聽 Documents the progress of clients toward their recovery plan goals
路聽聽聽聽聽 Attends and participates in company meetings
路聽聽聽聽聽 Coordinates and participates in counting medications and giving report at the beginning and end of each shift
路聽聽聽聽聽 Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, and/or changed at the discretion of management

2.聽聽 KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS
路聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to review and implement Recovery/Treatment plans
路聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to support medical and psycho-social care of members served
路聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to administer oral and injectable medications
路聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to act as a team member and provide input via reporting observations and concerns and ask appropriate questions
路聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to review and implement client recovery treatment plans
路聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to implement physical crisis and de-escalation techniques

3.聽聽 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
路聽聽聽聽聽 Graduation from an accredited LPN program and current LPN licensure in state of operation
路聽聽聽聽聽 Current CPR/ FA certificate
路聽聽聽聽聽 Must be at least 21 years of age
路聽聽聽聽聽 Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
o聽聽 If it is a new application, can be submitted and in-process
路聽聽聽聽聽 One year of experience in related field, Behavioral health: 1 year (Preferred)
路聽聽聽聽聽 Understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment, and knowledge of psychotropic medication
路聽聽聽聽聽 Valid Driver鈥檚 License
