This position is part of Novanta’s ATI Industrial Automation business unit. ATI is the world’s leading developer of robotic end of arm technologies. Primary Responsibilities

Design, build, and debug test hardware used in Mechanical verification testing.
Develop Mechanical test plans for product verification and quantification of characteristics.
Write reports documenting testing results.
Propose and/or implement design changes to existing product.
Evaluate nonconformance on components and/or assemblies.
Collaborate across a wide variety of organizations (Engineering, Quality, Applications Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing)

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

Ability to utilize SolidWorks (preferable) or other 3D aided drafting software.
Ability to use simple hand tools.
Experience with standard measurement and test equipment. (Calipers, Dial Indicators, Load Cells, etc....)
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good communication skills.
Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires candidates to be a US citizen or green card holder
Must have dependable transportation.
GPA of 3.5+

Management Prefers

Experience and/or participation with a collegiate Motorsports team. Not required.
Good SolidWorks skills.
Good drawing practices, including application of GD&T

Housing

Fully furnished housing is provided at no cost to the student if they live out of state.

The salary for this role will range from $37,430 to $50,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, etc.
Certain roles may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives. Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
