Fully Licensed Therapist – Hybrid / Independent Contractor
Brinkley Brown Mental Wellness, PLLC is a growing, multidisciplinary private practice serving clients across North Carolina, with office locations in Apex, Cary, Fuquay-Varina, and Greenville.
Our team currently includes 33 providers across a variety of disciplines, including LCSWs, LCASs, LMFTs, LCMHCs, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychiatric physician assistants, a music therapist, and a life coach. We provide comprehensive mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

We are currently looking for at least two Fully Licensed Therapists to join our team as independent contractors.
At Brinkley Brown Mental Wellness, we believe providers should have the autonomy to build a caseload and schedule that works for their life—not the other way around. You will create your own schedule and have flexibility in determining when and how you see clients.
We currently have a significant demand for in-person appointments, particularly at our Apex location, and are seeking clinicians interested in a hybrid schedule combining in-office and telehealth sessions.

Who We're Looking For
We welcome fully licensed clinicians with a variety of specialties and areas of expertise. However, we currently have particularly strong demand for:
- Couples and family therapy
- Children and adolescents
- Clinicians able to offer some after-school appointment availability
- Providers interested in maintaining a combination of in-person and telehealth clients
Our practice serves clients across the lifespan with a wide variety of presenting concerns, allowing clinicians to develop a caseload that aligns with their interests and expertise.
Compensation & Contractor Structure
This is a 1099 independent contractor position and does not include traditional employee benefits. In exchange, clinicians have greater autonomy over their schedules and caseloads while receiving a highly competitive percentage of collected insurance and private-pay revenue.
Depending on insurance and payer mix, clinicians can expect to average approximately $65–$117 per 55-minute session.
We also believe compensation should not be something clinicians are left to figure out on their own. We regularly review reimbursement and caseload trends with our providers and look for opportunities to help clinicians maximize their earning potential while maintaining a sustainable workload.
Expected caseload: 20+ sessions per week
