This is a second shift position.
American Construction Materials (ACM), a strategic business unit of ABC Supply, produces a wide array of metal building materials including trim coil, edge metal, gutter systems, and a variety of other metal accessories. ACM is seeking a Warehouse Technician to join its team. If you're looking for a fast-paced position with an established company, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, build, and secure pallet orders.
- Move, stage, pull, and put away material.
- Use an LPN and DSI to manage movement of inventory and orders.
- Identify, inspect, label, and weigh (if needed) material for shipment.
- Ensure product and packing prepared for shipment meets our S.O.P standards.
- Complete picking documentation.
- Double check material pulled to verify correct quantity.
- Cross train and work in other departments as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse.
- Follow all safety requirements and regulations.
- Participate in ACM’s Safety and Behavior-Based Safety Programs.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement projects throughout the plant.
- Perform all other duties as assigned and directed.
Specifications/Requirements:
- Forklift certification required
- High school education or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Ability to read, write clearly, and do simple math.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work with others.
- Ability to stay organized and maintain a clean workplace.
- An orientation toward customer service is important.
- Experience working in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to be cross trained in multiple areas.
Physical Demand:
- Associates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.
Work Environment:
- 100% manufacturing setting
- Associates must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
- Associates will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery.
- Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective (PPE) requirement in various areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection , gloves, and safety shoes.
- Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery.
