POSITION:    Phone Room  (Patient Services Team)

ANSWERS TO:   Patient Services Team Leader

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:   None

START DATE:   As soon as qualified candidate is chosen

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:   Full-Time, 40 hours

WORK HOURS:   Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:   Medical Office experience preferred but will look at candidates with excellent customer service and have other office general office experience or training.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:   Looking to add a PATIENT SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE to our PHONE ROOM.  This is a key position to help create first impression of the company.  This position will primarily consist of working in the phone room answering and routing incoming calls.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO): 

  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and coworkers.
  • Operates multi-line telephone to connect interoffice and house calls
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Register patients when call-in for appointments
  • Retrieve insurance information
  • Other duties as assigned

 

SKILLS NEEDED: 

  • Good customer service skills required.
  • Must be comfortable working on computer; is on computer all day.
  • Medical office experience is helpful, but not necessary.
  • Be able to easily multi-task.
  • Display innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High school or Equivalent

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 

1 to 20+ years
