POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for our Summer 2026 Internship Program. This intern will support our U.S. Energy division with electrical engineering design services and other related electrical development support.U.S. Ventureās Internship Program runs May - August. Dates may vary based on individual class schedules. This position is located in Appleton, WI and will start at 1025 West Navitus Dr, Appleton, WI 54913. We are excited to be transitioning to our new corporate headquarters during this internship timeframe and this position will eventually be located at 222 W College Avenue, Appleton, WI 54911.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Electrical Engineering Intern, you will:Ā
Assist Engineering with developing HMI programs, using Wonderware and CmoreĀ
Assist Engineering with troubleshooting and developing PLC programs using Studio 5000Ā
Assist Engineering with maintaining SCADA systemsĀ
Assist Engineering with project startups and executing testing proceduresĀ
Create/update panel schedulesĀ
Create/update One Line DiagramsĀ
Create/update Load analysis for new projectsĀ
Create/update wiring diagrams for new projectsĀ
Create/update Electrical Classification DrawingsĀ
Create/update Layout drawings for all new Electrical cabinets/boxes/panelsĀ
Organize SharePoint filesĀ
Create spread sheet of all material, vendor, cost.Ā
Create spread sheets of all material, devices, parts for each projectĀ
Assist the electrical team by helping execute new initiatives and proceduresĀ
Other duties as assignedĀ
QUALIFICATIONS
Current student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering or Power and Energy Engineering.
Junior or Senior status preferred.
Ability to work full time over the summer months, with an option to work part-time during the school yearĀ
Ability to manage and lead a project or perform a function with limited supervisionĀ
Our electrical design program of choice is AutoCAD, so a basic working knowledge is preferable.Ā
A working knowledge of programming PLCs and HMIs is preferred
Willing to occasionally travel to job sites to assist engineeringĀ
Thrives in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to learn new skills quicklyĀ
