Job DetailsLevel: ManagementJob Location: Richmond Springs - Appleton, WI 54914Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 Salary/yearJob Shift: AnyPosition Summary:  The Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership, regulatory compliance, and operational performance of the assisted living community. This includes oversight of resident care, staffing, financial management, quality assurance, and family/resident satisfaction. The Executive Director ensures the community complies with Wisconsin DHS 83, HCBS requirements, and internal standards for excellence in resident-centered care.    Key Responsibilities:  Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance  Ensure full compliance with Wis. Admin. Code DHS 83, HCBS settings rules, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws.  Prepare for and respond to state surveys and inspections, including implementing plans of correction.  Maintain all licensing requirements and ensure facility documentation and postings are up to date.  Oversee operations, safety programs, emergency preparedness, and health monitoring standards.  Leadership & Staff Management  Hire, supervise, and evaluate department heads and community staff.  Provide leadership that fosters a positive, resident-focused culture.  Conduct team meetings, staff development, and ensure training compliance (DHS 83.15 & 83.17).  Monitor staffing levels and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and support.  Resident Services & Satisfaction  Ensure high-quality care and service delivery in accordance with individualized service plans (ISPs).  Promote open communication with residents and families; address concerns promptly and professionally.  Oversee admissions, move-ins, and discharges to maintain appropriate occupancy levels.  Financial Oversight & Budgeting  Develop and manage the community’s operating budget, ensuring financial health and responsible resource use.  Oversee billing, payroll, and expense control in coordination with corporate or ownership entities.  Monitor census, revenue, and collections to ensure sustainability.  Community Relations & Marketing  Serve as the face of the community for prospective residents, families, referral partners, and the public.  Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, vendors, healthcare partners, and the broader community.  Support outreach efforts and tours to maintain targeted occupancy levels.  QualificationsQualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, or a related field preferred.  Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in senior living, healthcare, or long-term care administration required.  Strong knowledge of Wisconsin DHS 83 regulations and best practices in assisted living operations.  Leadership experience with demonstrated ability to manage people, processes, and budgets effectively.  Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.  Must meet administrator qualification standards for assisted living facilities in Wisconsin.    Working Conditions:  Full-time leadership role with potential for occasional evening or weekend responsibilities.  May involve walking the building, interacting with residents, and responding to emergencies on site.    Core Competencies:  Leadership & Strategic Thinking  Regulatory Knowledge & Survey Preparedness  Financial Acumen  Team Development & Accountability  Resident-Centered Service Orientation
