Position Summary


The General Assembler is responsible for assembling parts and subassemblies by following blueprints, work instructions, and production specifications to support quality and delivery goals. This role prepares materials, inspects components for quality, troubleshoots basic assembly issues, and assists with packaging and labeling products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards while supporting daily production operations.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Organizes parts and subassemblies for an efficient assembly process.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed components/products.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying the supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of varied manufacturing experience in Mechanical Assembly
  • Bend and lift, loading and unloading workpieces on to pallets, and move from one workstation to another, alternately sitting and standing
  • Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
  • Perform repetitive work more than 9 hours per day
  • Ability to quickly learn new blueprints and perform all necessary measurements
  • Hand/power tool skills (Drill, Adjustable Wrenches, Pliers, Hammers, screwdrivers, etc.)
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe shoes
