The TPM / Facilities Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment reliability, facility functionality, and continuous improvement through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles. This role partners closely with maintenance, production, safety, and engineering teams to drive uptime, reduce losses, and maintain safe, compliant facilities.

Your Impact

TPM & Reliability

  • Lead and support TPM pillar activities (Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Focused Improvement).
  • Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Analyze equipment downtime, failures, and chronic losses using root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Drive OEE improvements through data-driven problem solving.
  • Support operator training for basic equipment care and inspections.
  • Maintain and improve equipment standards, PM checklists, and documentation.
     

Facilities Engineering

  • Manage facility systems including:
    • HVAC
    • Electrical distribution
    • Compressed air
    • Water and wastewater
    • Dust collection / filtration systems
  • Coordinate facility repairs, upgrades, and capital improvement projects.
  • Act as technical lead for contractors and vendors performing facility work.
  • Ensure facility infrastructure supports current and future production needs.
  • Support layout changes, new equipment installs, and plant expansions.
     

Safety, Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and company safety standards.
  • Support lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, fall protection, and equipment safety reviews.
  • Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure safe access methods (lifts, platforms, scaffolding) are properly selected and approved.
     

Project & Cross-Functional Support

  • Support capital project planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, EHS, and engineering teams.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and standards.
  • Support commissioning and handoff of new equipment and facility systems.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related) or equivalent experience
  • 3 years experience in:
    • Manufacturing maintenance or facilities engineering
    • TPM or reliability programs
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Industrial equipment and facility systems
    • Preventive maintenance strategies
    • Root cause analysis tools
  • Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and facility drawings
  • Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills

 

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • TPM, CMMS, or Reliability certification
  • Experience with:
    • CMMS systems
    • Capital project management
    • Manufacturing layout and plant infrastructure
    • Six (6) or more months of internship or co-op experience related to engineering, maintenance, or industrial facilities
    • Familiarity with building systems such as: HVAC, electrical distribution, compressed air, sprinkler/fire protection, and access control/security systems.
    • Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent) for layout and technical design.
    • Basic understanding of manufacturing operations, plant maintenance practices, and facility infrastructure.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental compliance standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA) is a plus.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint).

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This role is primarily performed in a professional office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and temperature-controlled settings.

  • Duties are largely sedentary, requiring extended periods of sitting and using a computer and telephone.

  • Visual acuity to operate a computer and read documents is required, along with auditory ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings.

  • Occasional movement within the office environment is necessary, including walking short distances, standing, or reaching for files.

Pay Range:

$73,200.00 - $117,800.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
