Position Summary

The Human Resources Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team across multiple locations. This position is responsible for maintaining employee records, coordinating onboarding and offboarding activities, facilitating virtual new hire orientations, supporting HRIS transactions, and serving as a resource for employees and managers on routine HR processes.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

What You'll Do

HR Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records and process employee status changes within the HRIS.
  • Process new hire paperwork and coordinate pre-employment requirements including background checks and drug screenings.
  • Process approved personnel actions including new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, and compensation changes.
  • Assist Payroll by communicating routine employment updates and ensuring timely documentation.
  • Maintain electronic personnel files in compliance with company policies and legal record retention requirements.
  • Assist with periodic HR audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires across multiple locations.
  • Partner with hiring managers, IT, and Facilities to ensure employees receive equipment, system access, and onboarding materials before their first day.
  • Facilitate weekly virtual New Hire Orientation sessions, introducing company culture, policies, benefits, and administrative processes.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for new employee questions during the onboarding process.

Employee Support

  • Respond to routine employee and manager inquiries regarding HR policies, forms, and HRIS self-service functionality.
  • Assist employees with navigating HR systems and locating appropriate resources.
  • Route complex employee relations, leave, benefits, and payroll matters to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Process employment verification requests.
  • Assist with leave administration and Workers' Compensation documentation.

Offboarding & HR Operations

  • Coordinate administrative offboarding activities, including exit documentation and return of company property.
  • Track employee departures and maintain offboarding records.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR Director and HR Generalists.
  • Assist with special projects and other HR initiatives as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2–3 years of administrative experience in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Previous experience supporting Human Resources functions preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems or other employee database platforms preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, UKG, Paycom, Workday, or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, or HR operations.
  • Experience facilitating virtual meetings or employee orientations using Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
  • Experience supporting a multi-location or field-based workforce.
  • Experience within home services, construction, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or other operational environments.
