Job DetailsJob Location: Arcade, NY 14009Salary Range: $48,000.00 - $58,000.00 Salary/yearJob Shift: 1st ShiftMain Duties and Responsibilities Coordinates and directs the activities of a manufacturing team engaged in the production of assemblies, sub-assemblies and finished goods to meet production schedules and customer commitments while meeting quality standards. Responsible for housekeeping/5S and fosters a safe work environment.  Leads accident investigations and corrective actions. Must interface with shift supervisors to assure a smooth coordinated level of communication and exchange of the work flow between shifts. Review assigned production schedules and operating standards relative to production capacity.  Coordinates production flow activities to meet schedules. Determine labor loading to ensure it meets the production build plan. Supervise assigned personnel ensuring all are properly trained, performing in acceptable manner and informed of current conditions/events.  Develop subordinates to assume additional responsibilities and achieve maximum potential. Provide guidance to employees according to established policies and processes. Responsible for all personnel actions of team such as status changes, timekeeping, performance feedback, disciplinary actions, etc. Responsible for production in accordance with SWP’s, control plans, general quality standards, production schedules and planned product yield percentages.  Is expected to take necessary action to maintain labor, materials and supplies within required levels. Drives continuous improvement mentality in areas of quality, yield, cycle time and cost. Creates an environment in which the team members use their collective resources efficiently and effectively. QualificationsSpecific Knowledge and Abilities Academic course work beyond the secondary level in disciplines such as business administration, engineering, people skill training, etc., combined with 3-5 years of related supervisory experience or equivalent preferred. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, production methods, equipment and it’s operation, labor loading, statistical process control methods, finance/budget and cost methods. Must demonstrate effective communication skills and supervisory techniques. Must be proficient in computer skills and use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and email. Excellent Attendance. Willing to work any shift and work overtime on short notice.
