Purpose:

Operate vehicles to safely transport equipment for the dealership.   During delivery, this person may instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures.

Responsibilities: 

  • Transport equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer facilities; may also pick up new equipment from a supplier.
  • Supports the sales department with equipment delivery as needed.
  • Maintains records of pickup and deliveries as directed by TRULAND Equipment and obtains any necessary signatures and receipts.
  • Maintains all required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA, and company policy as requested by TRULAND
  • Accountable for all time and distance traveled in performing assigned duties.
  • May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures as required.
  • Maintain a regular inspection of the assigned equipment and immediately report anything on the equipment in need of repair.
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments

 

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge: 

  • 3+ years’ experience as semi-trailer truck operator.
  • Experience in hauling irregular and oversized loads.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of proper load securement techniques.
  • Valid CDL Class driver’s license required.
  • Driving record that meets insurance company parameters.
  • Ability to lift items weighing upwards to 75 lbs. repeatedly.
