Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and versatile CDL Truck Driver / Handyman to join our team. This hybrid role involves performing one scheduled truck route per day using a CDL-class vehicle, followed by general handyman and groundskeeping duties for the remainder of the workday. The ideal candidate is a skilled driver who is also experienced in basic maintenance, landscaping, and outdoor facility care.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities: CDL Driving Duties (Approx. 1 trip per day):
- Safely operate a CDL-class truck to complete a designated daily route.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery or pickup of goods/materials.
- Maintain clean driving records and adhere to DOT regulations.
Handyman & Maintenance Support:
- Assist maintenance department with routine repairs (e.g., painting, light plumbing, carpentry).
- Perform general handyman tasks as needed across the facility.
- Help with preventative maintenance projects.
Groundskeeping & Landscaping:
- Mow lawns, trim hedges, and maintain flower landscaping.
- Plow and salt employee parking lot and sidewalks.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL (Class A or B, as required for route).
- Clean driving record and current DOT medical card.
- Prior experience in handyman or facility maintenance roles preferred.
- Knowledge of landscaping equipment and outdoor facility maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Capable of standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Mornings: CDL driving route
- Afternoons: Maintenance and groundskeeping work
