Royal Crown Homes is seeking a dependable, caring, and responsible Overnight Asleep Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide overnight Night Supervision.

This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working independently overnight while maintaining a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for individuals receiving services. The employee will provide supervision and assistance as needed throughout the overnight hours while supporting each individual's rights, dignity, privacy and independence.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide overnight supervision and support in accordance with the individual's person-centered service plan.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment throughout the overnight shift.
  • Remain available and responsive to individuals who require assistance during the night.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, health and safety concerns, behavioral needs, or unexpected situations.
  • Follow individual-specific emergency procedures, safety plans, and support strategies.
  • Assist with personal care or other needs when identified in the individual's service plan.
  • Monitor for changes in an individual's health, safety, behavior, or overall well-being and report concerns appropriately.
  • Complete required overnight documentation and progress notes accurately and timely.
  • Follow medication-related procedures within the scope of the position and applicable 245D requirements.
  • Protect individual privacy, confidentiality, rights, and personal information.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and respectful relationships with individuals receiving services.
  • Complete required training and maintain competency in assigned responsibilities.
  • Communicate relevant information to the incoming/outgoing staff team.
  • Follow all company policies, Minnesota 245D requirements, and applicable health and safety procedures.
Overnight Expectations:

Because this is an asleep overnight position, the employee is expected to:

  • Maintain a designated sleeping area while remaining immediately available to provide assistance when needed.
  • Respond promptly when an individual requires assistance or an emergency occurs.
  • Maintain awareness of the individuals' needs and follow individualized overnight supervision requirements.
  • Complete required checks, documentation, or other duties identified in the individual's service plan and program procedures.
  • Remain on the premises for the duration of the scheduled shift unless otherwise authorized.
Qualifications Required:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to pass required Minnesota background studies and meet applicable 245D employment requirements.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately during emergencies or challenging situations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Ability to complete required training within established timelines.
Preferred:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, mental health needs, or other support needs.
  • Previous Direct Support Professional (DSP) or caregiving experience.
  • Experience working in a group home, residential, assisted living, or human services setting.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with Minnesota 245D services.
