They follow treatment directions while providing key support to our therapeutic team. Our BHTs will learn proper documentation techniques and other state/federal standards followed by the Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH). This position will be working Monday - Friday, 4:00PM - 12:00AM.       What you'll be doing: In the absence of the House Supervisor, assume supervisory authority of the direct care of the residents in the facility. Provide consistent instruction, guidance, encouragement, and reinforcement to the residents of the home. Regularly implement basic living skills training objectives and document residents' progress in a timely manner in the Electronic Health Record. Help coordinate resident activities in the home and community. Regularly complete documentation of staff notes, incident reports, injury reports, shift observations, and other reports in a timely and accurate manner. Regularly encourage and assist residents in the preparation of nutritious meals in accordance with the posted menus and complete meal preparations if residents cannot. May be required to lift approximately 50 lbs. Ensure residents comply with home rules, maintain a clean and safe environment to include the performance of housekeeping, assist clients where necessary. Demonstrate good safety skills, including fire drills, emergency procedures, and back safety techniques. Promote a positive work environment, including positive relationships with supervisors, residents, and their families and/or co-workers Administer medication and document accordingly. Attend staff meetings, in-service meetings and training as required and remains current on all training and certifications. Work as scheduled, correctly complete and submit time sheets, and leave requests in a timely manner. Report any facility or maintenance issues in a timely fashion, and assist in maintaining the facility, equipment and vehicles.
