Responsibilities

Provides exceptional customer service by assisting patients throughout the check-in and check-out process while ensuring accurate registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and payment collection.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and complete the check-in and check-out process.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and obtain required prior authorizations.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and other patient payments.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate referrals as needed.
  • Ensure all registration, consent, and clinical paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Update and maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Route patient charts and documentation to the appropriate clinical staff.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and clinical support staff to facilitate efficient patient flow.
  • Provide courteous, professional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. 

 

Experience: One (1) plus year of medical office experience preferred.
