The Analytics & Insights Manager is a hands-on technical leader responsible for the Data Analytics and investigative analysis functions. This position directly manages a small Data Analytics team and actively contributes to the design, development, and delivery of data analytics, dashboard, and automation solutions. This individual also oversees an investigative analysis function through a designated Team Lead. The position requires strong technical expertise in data analytics, dashboard development, and process automation, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Power BI, Power Automate, and PowerShell. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical capability with people leadership, stakeholder engagement, and analytical problem-solving. Additionally, experience developing, implementing, or applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions is preferred.  Data Analytics, Dashboards & Automation Lead and actively contribute to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of data analytics, dashboard, reporting, and automation solutions. Develop and enhance Microsoft Power BI solutions, including data modeling, Power Query, DAX, visualization, performance optimization, and integration of multiple data sources. Develop and support processes and automation associated with analytical solutions, including Power Automate workflows, PowerShell scripting, data refreshes, data transformation, and system/data source integration. Partner with stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate them into data requirements, metrics, KPIs, dashboards, automated processes, and other analytical solutions. Establish and maintain standards for solution design, data quality, documentation, testing, deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management. Identify and implement opportunities to improve data quality, automate manual processes, and leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance analytical capabilities and efficiency. Team & Functional Leadership Directly manage the Data Analytics team, including workload prioritization, task assignment, performance, professional development, and delivery quality. Provide management oversight and direction to the investigative analysis function through its designated Team Lead. Balance hands-on technical responsibilities with team leadership, ensuring effective allocation of work based on priorities, technical complexity, and available resources. Coach and develop team members, promote technical growth and accountability, and communicate priorities, progress, risks, and results to program leadership and stakeholders. Investigative Analysis & Operational Insights Collaborate with the investigative analysis Team Lead to establish priorities and direction for analysis of trends, discrepancies, potential root causes, and issues affecting traveler-related information and services. Facilitate collaboration between Investigative Analysis, Data Analytics, operational stakeholders, technical teams, and subject matter experts. Identify opportunities to apply data analytics, dashboards, automation, and other technical capabilities to enhance investigative analysis and identify systemic or recurring issues. QualificationsRequired Qualifications 10+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline. Demonstrated hands-on experience in data analytics, business intelligence, and dashboard development, along with experience leading or managing technical or analytical personnel. Strong proficiency with data visualization tools and associated process, such as Microsoft Power BI and dashboard/report development, data modeling, Power Query, DAX, visualization, and integration of multiple data sources. Hands-on experience developing or supporting data and dashboard automation using Microsoft Power Automate, PowerShell, or comparable scripting and automation technologies. Experience translating stakeholder and operational needs into technical requirements and analytical solutions. Strong analytical problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills. Must be authorized to work in the US and able to pass a Public Trust background investigation. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing, implementing, or applying Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, generative AI, or AI-assisted analytical solutions. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and integration across Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 services. Experience with SQL, Python, APIs, automated data pipelines, or other data integration technologies. Experience with root cause, investigative, or operational analysis. Experience establishing analytics development standards or structured solution development lifecycle (SDLC) processes. Experience in a federal government or government contracting environment.
