Job DetailsJob Location: Liberty Educational Ministries, Incorporated - Argyle, TX 76226Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeTravel Percentage: NoneJob Category: Teacher Position Purpose Supports students with diagnosed learning differences with appropriate interventions while coordinating with classroom teachers on accommodations for LLC students in the general classroom setting. Responsible for all aspects of the LLC Study Hall operations as well as coordinating and organizing the LLC Lab. Essential Functions Implement a multi-tiered system of student support through the LLC Study Hall, LLC Lab time, and accommodations for participating students in general education classes When possible, attend classes to assist teachers in implementing accommodation and/or assist students in the classroom setting Monitor student progress via one-on-one conferencing during the LLC Study Hall Coordinate with school administrators and families to ensure all LLC students have current (within 3 years) diagnostic testing documenting a learning difference Coordinate with Business Office staff to send families financial contracts and the Accommodations Agreement Form for their students to participate in the LLC program Maintain a current LLC qualification sheet in each student’s LLC file supporting their accommodations File for extended time on PSAT, SAT, ACT tests for students who might qualify Create a Learning Profile for each LLC student based on individualized diagnostic testing Ensure Learning Profiles for each LLC student are current and online for teachers to have access to the student’s accommodations/qualifications for LLC Support the Admissions process and respond in a timely fashion to all inquiries regarding the LLC program Conduct an annual review process to assess and enhance the LLC program on a yearly basis Assist students with who may need Math support Attending Department Chair Meetings, Curriculum and Instruction meetings, and other school leadership meetings as needed to maintain alignment with school initiatives/expectations and to coordinate with classroom teachers Serve as a liaison for students in the LLC program and their classroom teachers Participate in parent conferences as relevant/needed Coordinate with school administrators and counselors on LLC students and program needs enlisting additional staff members, as needed, to support student learning Train teachers and staff on accommodations and general information on types of learning differences among our Liberty students Participate in professional development opportunities as assigned Provide support and guidance to teachers and students in implementation of the Tier II Intervention process During summer, there will be up to two weeks of preparation for in-service and LLC preparation with a stipend paid out for summer work Adhere to the Student Protection Policy (SPP) procedures and trainings Responsibilities and tasks outlined in this document are not exhaustive and may change as determined by the needs of the school Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and staff Ability to model appropriate behavior and maintain professionalism under stress Ability to support diverse learning styles and adapt to individual student needs Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines with flexibility Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Ability to maintain accurate records and strict confidentiality Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree Active State Teacher Certification (can be from any state in the U.S.) or Teacher Certification via Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Special Education certification (preferred) Experience with teaching Math or Math support for students with learning differences Experience with working with students with learning differences Experience with interpreting and reading diagnostic testing (preferred) Physical Requirements and Work Environment Works in an environment with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time. Regularly use close and distance vision May stand for extended periods of time.
