Our firm specializes in pioneering pathways for DACA recipients and foreign nationals to secure their green cards through career advancement and employment sponsorship. In this role, you will lead complex employment-based immigration matters from initial consultation through final filing. As an AZ-based team member, you will also provide critical in-person client representation at local USCIS field offices.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Client Consultations & Strategy: Conduct thorough legal evaluations with prospective and existing clients to build tailored employment-based immigration strategies (NIW, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3 PERM, EB-5, etc.).
  • End-to-End Case Management: Direct cases from start to finish—including strategy formulation, legal drafting, evidence review, and submission to USCIS and the Department of Labor (DOL).
  • USCIS Interview Preparation & Representation: Prepare clients for local USCIS interviews and provide strong, in-person legal representation at Arizona field offices.
  • Specialized Petitions & Investor Visas: Oversee and review filings across key corporate categories, including NIW, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3 (PERM), L-1, TN, and EB-5 investor petitions.
  • Legal Advocacy & RFE Responses: Draft persuasive legal briefs, support letters, and responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Audit Notices, and NOIDs.
  • Team Collaboration & Operations: Work closely with paralegals, legal assistants, and case managers to ensure accurate data entry, strict workflow compliance, and timely filings.
  • Policy & Compliance: Stay current on evolving USCIS/DOL policies, precedents, and regulatory changes impacting employment-based and investor petitions.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education & Bar Admission: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited US law school and active bar membership in good standing (any US state bar; Arizona bar membership preferred or eligible for local court/field office practice).
  • Experience: 3+ years of dedicated experience in Business & Employment-Based Immigration Law.
  • Location: Must be locally based in Arizona (or in the Phoenix area) to conduct in-person client interview coverage at local field offices.
  • Core Practice Area Strengths: Proven track record of handling end-to-end filings for:
  • EB-1, EB-2, EB-3 PERM, and National Interest Waivers (NIW).
  • Non-immigrant worker visas: L-1, TN, H-1B, O-1.
  • High-Volume Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume caseloads efficiently without sacrificing legal quality or missing deadlines.

  • Prior experience practicing within a high-volume corporate immigration law firm or legal department (e.g., Berry Appleman & Leiden (BAL), Fragomen, WR Immigration, or similar national firms).
  • Specific experience or passion for working with DACA recipients transitioning to employment-based permanent residency.
  • Familiarity with modern immigration case management platforms.
