Job Description:

Under the direction of the Section Manager, Operating Services, monitors operators assigned to Pace vehicles including paratransit services to ensure safe, timely, and comfortable rides. Essential functions include:

 

  1. Monitoring standard operating procedures of operators assigned to Pace Service, including paratransit service. 

  2. Documenting boarding and alighting counts on assigned bus trips. 

  3. Assisting with the survey of routes and stops in the IBS system. 

  4. Assisting with new carrier service contract start-ups, including training operating personnel. 

  5. Performing other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Age:

Must be 21 years of age or older. 

Education:

Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalency. 

Experience:

Must have at least two (2) years’ experience in public transportation. 

Certifications: 

Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to an automobile. 

Must be able to obtain a Class "B" Commercial Driver's License with passenger air brake endorsement and without an air brake restriction.

Proficiencies:

Must demonstrate intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Must possess and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills: good written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able to handle confidential and/or sensitive information in a professional manner.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires sitting for extended periods, typing on a computer, and attending meetings. Sometimes this role requires standing for extended periods.  

Working Conditions:

This position is based on an office setting, with standard office equipment, including a computer, phone, and desk space. Work is sometimes required in an outdoor environment where the candidate may be exposed to inclement weather, moving mechanical parts, toxic fumes and loud noises.  

Must be available to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. This position is not eligible for a hybrid work schedule or remote work. This is a safety-sensitive position. 

 

Salary

Full Salary Range: $35,464 - $72,747

Midpoint: $54,105

Starting Salary Range: $44,784 - $63,426
