Position Highlights:

  • SIGN-ON BONUS: $10,000

  • Position: Mammography Technologist II

  • Location: Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL

  • Full-Time, 40 hours weekly

  • Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm, rotating weekends

What you will do:

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, operates radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs used by physicians to detect and treat breast cancer. In doing so, positions patients, adjusts x‑ray equipment to correct setting for each examination, and evaluates films quality. Tests radiologic equipment and maintains quality assurance records. Performs related office duties as necessary. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.

What you will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited school in Radiologic Technology required

  • ARRT Mammography certification and current ARRT registration required.

  • Current Illinois Emergency Management Agency license required.

  • One-year experience as a general radiographer is preferred; on the job training is provided; experience in mammography preferred.

  • Current CPR certification (BLS) required from the American Heart Association

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in the correct use of body mechanics.
