Position Overview:

As a Production Supervisor, you will lead operations in our medical-grade injection molding facility, ensuring the consistent production of high-quality, regulatory-compliant components used in medical devices. You will oversee daily manufacturing activities, drive performance and efficiency, and maintain strict adherence to quality standards. Leveraging your strong background in injection molding, you will ensure processes run smoothly while upholding quality system requirements and cleanroom protocols to maintain compliance and operational excellence.

 


What you will do:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities in a cleanroom environment.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and GMP standards.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to meet delivery timelines.
  • Lead and mentor production staff, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Engineering to resolve process deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, including batch records and traceability logs.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Coordinate and supervise the daily production activities of assigned staff.
  • Ensure that production goals and objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner,
  • Monitor production performance, identify areas of improvement, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Ensure that production processes are carried out in accordance with established safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and train employees to perform different jobs correctly and to build quality product efficiently.
  • Monitor and document employee attendance and performance.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures in a consistent and fair manner.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Keep all required work-related records up to date.
  • Keep respected area in compliance with the general manufacturing procedures.
  • Recommend ways to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
  • Report machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel through documented procedures.
  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Proficient in all essential functions required in the molding operator job description.

Skills for Success:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5-7 years of supervisory experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, injection molding experience a PLUS.
  • Proven track record of managing teams in a cleanroom or controlled environment.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Experience implementing and sustaining lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, production scheduling, and quality documentation.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other related software.
  • Due to the business necessity of communication, safety and production must be able to speak, read and write English.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. 

 

 

Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 (Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location and budget)
