What You’ll Handle

Brookhaven Market is hiring a full-time Seafood Clerk (onsite) in Arlington Heights, IL, paying $16–$19/hour. This role exists to keep our seafood counter running smoothly—so customers leave with the right cut, the right portion, and a smile.

Key responsibilities include:
- Help customers choose meat/seafood items and share simple, spot-on recommendations
- Cut, trim, wrap, and package products to customer specs
- Keep the case clean, organized, stocked, and clearly labeled/priced
- Support inventory basics: rotate product for freshness and assist with ordering
- Follow food safety and sanitation rules to protect quality and guests

What you’ll need:
- Meat/Seafood or food service experience preferred (not required)
- Strong attention to detail; comfortable following procedures
- Able to stand/walk during shifts and lift up to 50 lbs
- Friendly communication; can work solo and with a team
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays

Your Shift Snapshot

You clock in, throw on your frock, and do a quick sweep of the case—what’s selling fast, what needs a tidy-up, what looks display-ready. Customers roll up with dinner plans, and you help them land on something that fits: a weeknight quick fix, a special-occasion splurge, or a “what’s freshest today?” pick.

Between conversations, you keep everything looking sharp—labels lined up, pricing clear, and the counter feeling inviting. You’ll check dates, rotate items, and coordinate with the team so the department stays ahead of the rush. By the time you clock out, the case is in great shape, special requests are handled, and tomorrow’s setup is already on a strong start.
