Position Highlights:

  • Position: Unit Secretary

  • Location: Arlington Heights

  • Part Time (25 hrs/wk)

  • Hours: 1p to 6:30p M-F

 

What you will do:

Reporting to the clinical manager or designee, with accountability to the other caregivers enters department specific patient treatments/charges to facilitate management of the patient healthcare record.  Assists the care team in coordinating patient activities and services.  Assists in coordinating communication and resources between care team, physicians, patients and family members.  In ancillary areas, may coordinate and schedule department specific patient procedures in the hospital’s scheduling system.

What you will need:

  • Education:

    • High School Diploma or GED

  • Unique or Preferred Skills:

  • Minimum one-year data or order entry experience using a computer preferred.

  • Computer literacy and experience with PC applications.

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
