About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Journeyman Electrician with NETA Level 3 certification to perform electrical testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high, medium, and low voltage electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with transformers, feeders, protective devices, motors, and control systems in commercial or industrial environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of high, medium, and low voltage electrical systems.

  • Work with transformers, feeders, switches, and protective devices.

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot motors, controls, and motor control centers (MCCs).

  • Service and support variable frequency drives (VFDs) and associated control systems.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical panels and distribution equipment.

  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, electrical codes, and company procedures.

  • Document testing results and maintenance activities as required.

  • Support preventative maintenance programs and respond to electrical service calls.

You Should Have

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Current NETA (International Electrical Testing Association) Level 3 Certification required.

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working with:

    • High, Medium, and Low Voltage systems, including:

      • Transformers

      • Feeders

      • Protective devices

      • Switches

    • Medium and Low Voltage systems, including:

      • Motors

      • Controls

      • Motor Control Centers (MCCs)

      • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and associated controls

      • Electrical panels

  • Must possess a Journeyman Electrician License in Virginia or the District of Columbia.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.

  • Good communication and documentation skills.
