  • This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Grace Hopper-Technical for the 2026/2027 school year.
  • Candidates must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure and possess a minimum AA degree in Automotive Technology.
  • A minimum of five years of recent experience as a Line Technician, preferably in a dealership, is required.
  • Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule, and bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Preferred qualifications include NOVA dual enrollment, ASE Master certification, and dual endorsement in English as a Second Language or Special Education.

Qualifications: 

  • Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure. 
  • NOVA dual enrolled preferred. 
  • ASE Master certified.
  • Minimum AA degree in Automotive Technology. 
  • Minimum five years recent experience as Line Technician preferably in dealership.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. 
  • Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities: 

  • Strong engine performance and electronic skills.
  • Instructor and/or mentor experience a plus.
  • Ability to gather, review and assemble curriculum. 
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PP, etc.
  • Ability to recruit dealers and other industry partners.

Salary: 

  • Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule
