JRAD is seeking candidates for an Air Force Portfolio Intelligence SME supporting Headquarters Air Force (HAF). This position is located in the NCR.


Position Summary

The Air Force Portfolio Intelligence SME provides specialized analytical, research, and advisory support across nuclear and Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) mission areas. This role requires demonstrated expertise in nuclear and CWMD‑related topics, as well as experience working with the Intelligence Community (IC) to integrate intelligence into Air Force plans, policy, and operational activities. The SME will support strategic assessments, intelligence‑informed planning, and enterprise‑level decision support to advance mission priorities.


Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research, analysis, and assessments on nuclear and CWMD‑related issues to inform A10 planning, policy development, and operational decision‑making.
  • Integrate intelligence from IC partners into Air Force strategies, operational concepts, and capability development activities.
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise on nuclear threat environments, WMD proliferation pathways, adversary capabilities, and intelligence gaps.
  • Support development of intelligence‑informed policy recommendations, risk assessments, and mission analyses for senior Air Force stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with IC organizations, DoD components, and interagency partners to ensure alignment of intelligence products with A10 mission needs.
  • Develop briefings, reports, and decision‑quality products that synthesize complex intelligence and operational information.
  • Advise on intelligence requirements, collection priorities, and analytic approaches to support nuclear and CWMD mission areas.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional teams supporting strategy, planning, operations, and capability development within the A10 portfolio.


Required Skills and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in national security, intelligence studies, political science, international affairs, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and research experience in nuclear and CWMD‑related topics.
  • Experience working with the Intelligence Community (IC) to integrate intelligence into plans, policy, or operational activities.
  • Strong understanding of nuclear threat environments, WMD proliferation dynamics, and intelligence analytic methodologies.
  • Experience supporting DoD, Air Force, or joint organizations in intelligence‑driven mission areas.
  • Ability to synthesize complex intelligence information into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including development of high‑quality analytic and decision‑support products.


Security Clearance:

  • Top Secret with SCI eligibility
