The Opportunity

Inclined is seeking an Analyst to support our analytics work across Risk Adjustment (RA) and related healthcare-facing engagements. This role sits at the intersection of data, analytics, and health policy, supporting high-impact client work that informs how complex public health programs are evaluated and improved.

You will work closely with subject matter experts, senior analysts, and developers to deliver analytical work grounded in a deep understanding of healthcare data, policy, and program structures. You will contribute directly to model development, validation, and reporting.

This is a hybrid role (2 - 4 days per week in-office in Arlington, VA) and is well-suited for someone who enjoys hands-on analysis, learning complex systems, and applying quantitative thinking to real-world policy and program challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of Risk Adjustment and related analytical contracts through hands-on data analysis, modeling, and reporting
  • Develop a strong working understanding of health data, including data structures, sources, and relevant policy context
  • Contribute meaningfully to model development, validation, and verification efforts, ensuring analytical rigor and documentation quality
  • Perform exploratory analysis and structured testing to independently evaluate data quality, model outputs, and assumptions.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear explanations and recommendations for internal teams and client audiences
  • Collaborate with senior analysts, developers, and SMEs to improve analytical workflows and enhance delivery efficiency
  • Take ownership of defined analytical tasks within contracts and support delivery timelines
  • Contribute to internal analytics knowledge-building efforts, documentation, and best practices
  • Coach and mentor emerging talent in the application of data processing best practices and leading edge analytical methodologies

What You Will Bring

  • Strong quantitative and analytical thinking, with the ability to move confidently between raw data, models, and insights
  • Comfort working with large, structured datasets and developing intuition for complex data environments
  • Experience applying statistical or quantitative methods to solve real-world analytical problems
  • Practical experience using AI- or ML-assisted tools to improve analytical workflows, data validation, or exploratory analysis
  • Curiosity and persistence in learning complex new domains, particularly health policy and healthcare data
  • Ability to work independently on defined tasks while validating assumptions and findings appropriately
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including comfort explaining analytical reasoning and outputs
  • A collaborative, detail-oriented mindset and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
  • A growing consulting mindset: thoughtful framing, responsiveness to client needs, and focus on actionable outcomes
  • Coaching emerging talent team members in the application of analytical best practices and leading edge methodologies

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of professional experience in quantitative analysis, data analytics, or related roles, or a relevant graduate degree combined with hands-on analytical experience
  • Demonstrated experience applying quantitative or statistical methods
  • Hands-on experience using SQL and Python (R and Excel also relevant)
  • Experience working with structured datasets in a professional, consulting, or research setting
  • Exposure to AI- or ML-assisted analytical tools and a demonstrated ability to apply them responsibly within workflows
  • Experience contributing to client-facing or stakeholder-facing deliverables

Desired Experience

  • Experience with health policy, health data (PII/PHI), risk models, or healthcare billing is a strong plus but not required at hire
  • Familiarity with modern AI-assisted analytics techniques or tools is also a plus (e.g., model-assisted analysis, automated feature exploration, or AI-supported validation workflows)
  • Experience operating in a consulting, analytics-driven strategy, or applied analytical environment

Comp and Benefits

  • $75,000 - $115,000 base salary
  • Discretionary annual bonus opportunity based on individual and company performance
  • 10% employer 401(k) contribution / profit sharing
  • 100% employer-paid health premiums (less deductible)
  • Metro stipend or free parking
  • 11 federal holidays and paid time off
