POSITION SUMMARY
Â
We are seeking a Automation and AI Lead to join our team supporting OMEGA. In this role you will provide strategic direction for automation, workflow improvement, and innovation initiatives across the OMEGA program in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about identifying high-value opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve process consistency, accelerate decision-making, and strengthen operational predictability across enterprise organizations.
You will oversee development of reusable AI prompts, automation templates, and automation workflows that enable the broader OMEGA team to automate recurring tasks and improve operational productivity.Â
You will ensure weekly progress is shared and user training occurs in a timely manner.
The role provides leadership and direction to the Process Automation Analyst and Automation Engineer and serves as the primary point of coordination for automation initiatives spanning the broader OMEGA program including managing the automation roadmap and coordination with effected end user groups.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and maintain the program’s automation strategy, including prioritization of automation opportunities across all COEs and operational workstreams
- Engage COEs and program stakeholders to identify repetitive, manual, error-prone, and high-friction processes that can be streamlined or automated
- Oversee development and maintenance of a centralized AI Prompt and Automation Template Library that supports automation across the program
- Ensure progress on automation initiatives across COEs by coordinating initiative tracking and supporting implementation oversight.
- Promote practical adoption of automation and AI-enabled efficiencies that support proactive operations and reduce reactive workload.
- Report on automation progress, business outcomes, and operational improvements in partnership with the Reporting Team, resulting from implemented automation solutions.
- Coordinate the activities of the Process Automation Analyst and Automation Engineer and ensure the team’s outputs support program-level priorities.
- Establish and oversee program-wide adoption of reusable AI prompts, templates, and workflow accelerators across teams and workstreams.

QUALIFICATIONS
Â
- Required Clearance (Public Trust)
- Education bachelor’s in computer science
- 5-10 Years of experience relevant to the positionÂ
- Enterprise process improvement and automation strategy.
- Cross-functional program leadership.
- Development of automation roadmaps and prioritization frameworks.
- Operational Analysis and Workflow optimization
- Domain Experience in Federal IT and Agile working environment
- Executive Communication
WORKING CONDITIONS
Â
Standard Business hours are Monday through Friday 8-5pm Eastern. Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs. Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting. Onsite and travel per the clients request no greater than 25%. Ideally in the office 2 days a week.Â
