We are seeking passionate and talented professionals to join our team in delivering cutting-edge cybersecurity, IT operations, and risk management services. This exciting opportunity allows you to work alongside industry leaders, leveraging advanced technologies to support the FDIC's mission of maintaining public confidence in the financial system.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the data center facilities, including power distribution, cooling systems (HVAC/CRAC/CRAH), UPS systems, fire suppression, and physical security.
  • Ensure that all critical systems (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) are functioning optimally, adhering to SLAs and uptime standards.
  • Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules across all data center equipment.
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for operational issues.
  • Utilize Building Management Systems (BMS) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools to monitor and optimize power consumption, cooling efficiency, and environmental conditions.
  • Track PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness), energy usage, and other metrics to implement strategies for energy efficiency and cost savings.
  • Develop and implement procedures to respond to facility emergencies, including power outages, fire scenarios, and other critical incidents. 


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors and 9 years or more of related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing and operating mission-critical facilities.
  • Responsible for overseeing the physical infrastructure, mechanical and electrical systems, and operational processes of our data centers to ensure maximum efficiency, reliability, and uptime.  
  • Experience with ITIL standards and change management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA).
  • Prior experience with testing, commissioning, and decommissioning of data center systems/components.
  • Experience with BMS or DCIM tools.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and facilities management best practices and has a proven track record as a team leader in an enterprise-scale environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an FDIC Public Trust.  
  • Ability to successfully pass the SAIC Background investigation to establish a start date.

Desired:

  • Certified Data Center Manager (CDCM) or Certified Data Center Design Professional (CDCDP).
