Overview

Cummings Electrical is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily operations within our Integrated Manufacturing (IM) Pre-Fab facility in Arlington, TX. This role is responsible for driving production performance, leading supervisors and project coordinators, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and with exceptional quality. Cummings Electrical is expanding our Integrated Manufacturing team. We design and build custom, integrated, modular systems such as e-houses, electrical skids, HAC’s and UL 508A panels for a wide range of projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial plants, and more.

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager and project teams through support and collaboration in a variety of functions including evaluation, organization, execution, and reporting of project management assignments on integrated manufacturing projects. Assistant Project Managers work within established processes and systems with the overall objective of managing/coordinating and completing project activities while maintaining compliance with purchase orders, contracts and design standards encompassing project safety, quality, value, timeliness, and profitability. This position has been designed with both onboarding and training programs to develop broader project management knowledge, experience, and career advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production activities across assembly, welding, paint, CNC, material staging, and finished goods
  • Develop and manage production schedules while balancing labor, materials, and project priorities
  • Partner with Project Coordinators, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure production readiness
  • Allocate labor and resources to maximize productivity and meet customer deadlines
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Supervisors, Leads, and production personnel
  • Monitor production metrics, labor utilization, schedule performance, and operational efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and workflow optimization
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and company standards
  • Resolve production bottlenecks and support cross-functional problem solving
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning to improve overall plant performance

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in electrical construction, manufacturing, fabrication, or production operations
  • Experience leading supervisors and managing multiple production teams or work cells.Strong knowledge of production scheduling, labor planning, and manufacturing operations
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, fabrication drawings, and bills of material
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, quality-driven work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed electrician or previous experience as an Electrical Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, or Production Manager
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field
  • Experience with Power BI, MS Project, WorkMax, Kojo, SharePoint, or ERP/MES systems
  • Knowledge of estimating or job costing software such as Accubid or ConEst
  • Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as business needs require
