Through compassionate, evidence-based treatment, we serve children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of care settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, and outpatient programs.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our nursing team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those facing mental health and behavioral challenges.
Position Summary
As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care in a therapeutic environment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and treatment goals. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with patients and their families while helping create a safe and supportive healing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to children, adolescents, and adults receiving behavioral health services.
- Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes through daily nursing notes.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to implement treatment plans and measurable goals.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
Leadership & Patient Advocacy
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment that protects patient rights and promotes recovery.
- Establish positive and professional relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and interdisciplinary care planning.
- Support and mentor fellow nursing staff when appropriate.
- Advocate for patient needs while ensuring quality and continuity of care.
Qualifications
Required
- Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact State RN license eligible for Texas practice.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- De-escalation Training: Handle with Care (HWC) certification.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills.
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered, compassionate care.
Preferred
- Previous behavioral health, psychiatric, or pediatric nursing experience.
- Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
- Knowledge of behavioral health assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.
Schedule
- Full-time opportunities available
- 12-hour shifts
- Day Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Night Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Weekend rotation required
