The HR Manager will play a key role in the launch and ongoing operation of a new manufacturing facility. This position will help establish the site’s workforce, HR infrastructure, and employee practices while supporting the day-to-day HR needs of a growing manufacturing operation.Â
This role will support the launch of a new U.S.-based manufacturing site. During the initial onboarding and ramp-up period, the selected candidate will be required to travel to Illinois on a weekly basis to support training, stakeholder relationship-building, and alignment with the broader HR and business teams. Travel may be approximately 3 to 4 days per week during the initial phase, with the role eventually transitioning permanently to the new site location in the first half of 2027.
The ideal candidate has strong HR generalist and manager-level experience, in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment. This role requires someone who can work hands-on, build structure in a new site environment, and partner effectively with operations, employees, and leadership.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Lead HR activities for site launch, including workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and communicationsÂ
- Support high-volume hiring across production, warehouse, technical, and professional rolesÂ
- Manage full-cycle recruitment and staffing vendor relationshipsÂ
- Establish and standardize HR policies, procedures, and site practicesÂ
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations, performance, and policy mattersÂ
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, safety, payroll, and corporate HRÂ
- Support onboarding, training readiness, and workforce planningÂ
- Oversee core HR functions including employee relations, benefits, leave administration, payroll support, and complianceÂ
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure audit readinessÂ
- Drive employee engagement and culture-building initiativesÂ
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience
Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related fieldÂ
- 8+ years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environmentsÂ
- Experience supporting a new site launch, startup, or rapid growth environmentÂ
- Strong HR generalist background across employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and HR operationsÂ
- Experience with high-volume hiring and workforce planningÂ
- Knowledge of employment law and HR complianceÂ
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skillsÂ
- Ability to build structure and operate effectively in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) preferredÂ
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plusÂ
