Thomson Power Systems (a Regal Rexnord company) is a leading manufacturer of electrical products and systems for use in the Power Generation Industry for over 50 years. As we expand into a new facility near Arlington, TX, we're seeking an exceptional Mechanical Assembly Lead to work closely with our Plant Manager and the other leaders to build and grow this new facility.

Responsible for assisting and/or backing up Production Supervisor to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner, in accordance with the Company’s policies, procedures and values.

Lead shift to ensure safety, quality, delivery and productivity goals are met consistently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical assembly of switchgear enclosures, frames, and bus structures according to drawings, work instructions, and BOM
  • Assign daily tasks, balance workload, across team members, and adjust priorities based on production schedule and supervisor direction.
  • Assist the Production Supervisor with the preparation and setup of workstations and materials for daily tasks.
  • Update and lead the daily tier meetings, Gemba walks, and VDM with associates in accordance with (Regal Business Systems) RBS standards.
  • Ensure work instructions, standards, and specifications related to tasks being completed are followed.
  • Proactively promote the RBS and Values.
  • Promote and practice Lean manufacturing processes as per RBS standards.
  • Follow and drive consistent compliance with site ISO standards and practices.
  • Ensure all EHS procedures, goals, and site initiatives are followed consistently.
  • Collaborate with extended team on investigations related to Safety, Quality, and other issues.

Qualifications

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED required, technical diploma/certifications in electrical, manufacturing, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of directly related manufacturing experience in electrical panel/switchgear assembly
  • Experience leading a crew of assemblers/technicians: assigning work, giving instructions, coaching, and providing performance feedback.
  • Strong knowledge in low/medium voltage switchgear assembly, wiring, and testing including reading complex electric schematics and work instructions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve practical electrical and mechanical problems on the line with limited standardization or precedent.

Additional Requirements

  • Must successfully complete employer-provided training during the first 6 weeks of onboarding; company will assist with documentation as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Ability to accurately prepare and enter data into spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work overtime when required

Location: Arlington, TX

Pay: $29-35/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: 5:45AM-4:15PM
