We are seeking a qualified Mid-Level Security Manager and Facility Security Officer (FSO) in Arlington, VA. This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote work situations. This is a 100% on-site, in-office position.

 

Position Description:

The selectee will perform multiple security management roles as the Decision Technologies Security Manager and DC Area FSO for a US Navy Weapons Engineering and Program Acquisition Support contract. 

 

YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET CLEARANCE

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

In the accomplishment of this task, the selectee will be directly responsible for the following 2 major sets of responsibilities:

 

Program Security Support:

As a direct labor contractor supporting the government weapons systems program office, you will help the government run its security program for all OEM developers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and reviewing key security documentation, including DD254s, Program Protection Plans (PPPs), Security Classification Guides (SCGs), Risk Acceptance Letters, and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).
  • Reviewing OEM security procedures, evaluating the security aspects of program office contracts, and verifying compliance with security checklists.
  • Managing program security for U.S. baseline requirements as well as cooperative programs, including German partners and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
  • Collaborating with the government Security Integrated Product Team (IPT) to investigate and document security incidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective measures.
  • Developing and delivering targeted security briefings to relevant personnel and processing visit requests to ensure adherence to protocols.

 

DC Area Facility Security Officer (FSO):

As the FSO for our D.C. area operations, you will lead our security posture for several DC area facilities, reporting directly to our overarching corporate FSO. Your standard duties will include:

  • Maintaining the facility's clearance and ensuring strict adherence to the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
  • Processing initial personnel security clearance submissions and periodic reinvestigations using systems such as DISS and NBIS.
  • Conducting comprehensive security awareness training, including initial briefings, annual refreshers, and debriefings for all cleared staff.
  • Managing the physical safeguarding, accountability, transmission, and authorized destruction of classified and sensitive materials.
  • Acting as the primary liaison to the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) for security reviews, incident reporting, and suspicious contact reports.
  • Administering the corporate Insider Threat Program to proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential personnel risks.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 7 years’ experience in security for national defense programs.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Completion of DCSA CDSE FSO certification (ISO30.CU)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in security for Navy programs
  • Bachelor’s degree

 

Travel Requirements

  • Limited travel requirements (<10%)
