We operate 8 Buy Here Pay Here dealerships and MEI Auto Finance, selling more than 6,500 vehicles annually and employing more than 300 team members.   Position Summary A-A Arlington Abandoned Vehicle is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Private Property Tow Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience operating tow trucks, understands non-consent (private property) towing laws, and can work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity. The Private Property Tow Driver will be responsible for safely removing vehicles from private properties, ensuring all state-mandated procedures and documentation are completed, and providing professional service to property managers, law enforcement, and vehicle owners.   Key Responsibilities Safely operate tow trucks to remove vehicles from private properties. Perform private property and non-consent towing in Arlington and surrounding areas. Follow all applicable Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) requirements and private property towing regulations. Complete and maintain required logs, paperwork, and towing documentation. Use dispatch systems, GPS, smartphones, or tablets to manage calls and document towing activity. Take required photographs and maintain accurate records. Communicate professionally and respectfully with property managers, law enforcement, and vehicle owners. Maintain a clean and professional appearance. Safely perform duties in various weather conditions and environments. Maintain a reliable and working smartphone for communication and dispatch purposes. Navigate the Dallas-Fort Worth area efficiently. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations. Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining reliability and accountability.   Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 2 years of towing experience or verifiable commercial/private property driving experience. Minimum of 1 year of towing experience preferred; knowledge of private property impound procedures is a plus. Must possess a current and valid Texas Driver’s License. Must hold a valid Texas TDLR Tow Operator License, including Private Property or Incident Management licensing as applicable. Must have a clean driving record and meet company and insurance standards for motor vehicle operation. No major driving violations, DUIs, or excessive points. Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., bend, kneel, and perform physical duties associated with towing operations. Must be available to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be honest, trustworthy, dependable, and reliable. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to interact professionally with property managers, law enforcement, and vehicle owners. Basic knowledge of GPS and dispatch systems. Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for call management and photo documentation. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must have knowledge of the Dallas-Fort Worth area for efficient navigation.
