Project Coordinator – Quality & Containment
Location: Arlington, TX
Compensation: $55,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience
Schedule: Night Shift | 6:30 PM–6:30 AM | 4 days on / 3 days off
Travel: Required
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, process-driven Project Coordinator to support quality and containment projects. This position is ideal for an experienced leader with strong mechanical aptitude, quality/containment knowledge, and experience in rework or manufacturing operations.
The Project Coordinator will oversee daily activities, ensure quality standards are met, support customer requirements, and provide hands-on leadership to small teams. The successful candidate must be comfortable transitioning between project oversight and floor-level support as operational needs require.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee daily quality, containment, and rework activities.
- Lead and support small teams to meet customer, quality, and project requirements.
- Perform and/or oversee dimensional inspections using calipers, pin gauges, micrometers, height gages, and other precision tools.
- Support mechanical rework and ensure work is completed according to specifications.
- Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, inspectors, and team members to maintain workflow and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, inspection records, and quality documentation.
- Support site launches, including setup, training, and process validation.
- Monitor processes and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and execution.
- Provide hands-on support with physical/rework activities when required.
- Travel to other operational sites as needed.
- Work additional days, overtime, weekends, or varying hours based on customer demand.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of management or leadership experience, preferably in automotive, manufacturing, quality, containment, or rework.
- Hands-on quality and mechanical/rework experience, with the ability to lead from the floor and support operations when needed.
- Strong knowledge of quality inspection and containment processes, including precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and height gages.
- Process-driven and accountable leadership style with strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM–6:30 AM), 4 days on / 3 days off, with flexibility for additional days, overtime, and weekends based on customer demand.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding, non-climate-controlled environment requiring extended walking and standing.
- Reliable transportation, strong attendance, punctuality, and willingness to travel to other operating sites as needed.
