Job Description

The Project Manager serves as the primary on-site representative and authorized point of contact for contract operations in a large-scale facility. This individual will provide overall leadership, management, and coordination of facility operations, maintenance, repair activities, and customer service delivery to ensure contract performance standards are consistently met.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day oversight and management of all contract operations and facility services.
  • Serve as the official contractor representative with full authority to act on behalf of the organization regarding contract performance matters.
  • Maintain on-site presence during established core business hours to support operational requirements and customer needs.
  • Direct and coordinate facility operations, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, repairs, and building alteration projects.
  • Manage and oversee personnel, subcontractors, and resources required for successful contract execution.
  • Ensure timely resolution of facility-related issues while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Receive, review, and respond to inspection reports, performance assessments, correspondence, and other contract-related communications on behalf of the contractor.
  • Exercise independent purchasing authority for tools, materials, equipment, and repair parts up to $5,000 per transaction to support uninterrupted facility operations.
  • Monitor contract compliance, quality assurance, safety standards, and performance metrics.
  • Foster positive relationships with government stakeholders, building occupants, and customers through effective communication and responsive service delivery.
  • Coordinate operational planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation to support facility requirements.


Minimum Qualifications 

  • US Citizen
  • Secret Clearance Required 
  • Bachelor Degree in a related technical discipline such as Engineering, Construction, or Facilities Management or an equivalent combination of training and certifications in a relevant technical discipline.
  • 15 years of experience in related Operations and Maintenance support services and/or facilities management. At least 5 of these years must be in providing these services in a large facility or operation.
  • At least 4 years of experience within the last 5 years managing the operations, maintenance, repair, building alterations, customer relations, and all other associated operations for a building consisting of at least 400,000 square feet. 


Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience managing large-scale government or federally occupied facilities. 
  • Knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance practices, safety programs, and facility management best practices.


Required Certifications

  • Certificate from either IFMA as a CFM, BOMI International as a FMC, or Association for Facilities Engineers (AFE) as a CPMM.
