Radiology Service Technician I

Radiology Service Technician I- Full Time, Days

 Work location: Texas Health Dallas 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full Time (40 Hour) Day Shift M-F 7:30-4P with on call expectations 

Department Highlights:

·       75%25 local travel between THR hospital facilities and clinics

·       In-House service engineer supporting Diagnostic Ultrasound Equipment 

·       Provide OEM training and other continuous educational opportunities

Here’s What You Need

Education

·       High School Diploma or Equivalent required And

·       Associate's Degree Associates of Applied Science in Biomedical Technology, Electronics, Information Technology Management, or related field required Or

·       Other Successful completion of military BMET training required

Experience

·       1 years servicing diagnostic imaging systems (preferably in hospital setting) required

·       X-Ray training and experience preferred 

 Licenses and Certifications

·       DL - Drivers License Valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record upon hire required And

·       Other Completion of Networking + Foundation Course 2 years required And

·       Other Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES), or Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) upon hire preferred And

·       Completed OEM technical training in diagnostic imaging to include radiology, mammography, CT, ultrasound, networking, PACS, and/or DICOM preferred

 

What You Will Do 

Technical Service

·       Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections (ESI), and operation verification procedures (OVP) imaging ultrasound equipment

·       Repair, onboard, and calibrate ultrasound imaging equipment

·       Inform lead of the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and any customer concerns

  • Manage the exchange and repair of ultrasound probes  

Regulatory Compliance

·       Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database to include the inventory, performance assurance (PA) schedules, nomenclature, and service history

·       Adheres to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP), including all regulatory agency compliances and other applicable policies and procedures

·       Responsible for ensuring all service and documentation is complete, timely, and accurate

Account Relationship Management

·       Build and maintain customer relationships

·       Discuss equipment status and functionality with clinicians

·       Adheres to the Mission, Vision, and Values of the organization(s) served.

Inventory

·       Perform periodic inspections of current inventory status

·       Verify the completion of security analysis for new customer equipment

·       Performs Incoming Inspections to maintain a complete and accurate inventory of medical devices, including trial and evaluation, rental, and loaner equipment in addition to permanently assigned equipment inventory.
