Description

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to join our specialty dental team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the surgical schedule, coordinating patient appointments, and ensuring a seamless experience for every patient. The ideal candidate is professional, patient-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the doctor’s schedule with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Master scheduling software and ensure the integrity of the appointment system.
  • Answer incoming calls and return voicemails promptly, providing professional and courteous customer service.
  • Administer and respond to communications via email and other channels.
  • Coordinate with referring offices to gather necessary information for upcoming appointments.
  • Welcome patients warmly and ensure a positive experience from start to finish.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the system.
  • Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and internal practice policies at all times.
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of dental or oral surgery practice experience is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of dentistry and oral surgery is a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills as you interact with patients, families, doctors, and team members.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in person, on the phone, and over email.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and problem solve effectively.
  • Understands and accepts responsibility for the schedule.
  • Basic computer software knowledge.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
